Hi, I have a small business account for my ceramics. I have been using it for 3 years now but I can’t increase mucy followers (stuck at 1.000), most of my followers doesn’t get my posts on their timeline and my reels have generally 5k views. I am familiar with instagram and I used to have too many views and followers on my personal account so I can say post quality is not the problem. I am considering opening a new account but I am afraid of losing my customers, but also I am so bored of my current account because I feel like everything I post is ignored by the algorithm. Should I open a new account? I would be very happy if you answer it is a hard decision for me.

Everyone is quick to blame the algorithm. What’s the IG handle? Can we see the quality of content?
Instagram is completely losing it’s effectiveness. they have fiddled with their algos so much that it’s practically unusable, pushing what they choose to everyone’s feed. Just opening a new account probably won’t help and could confuse your customers. Try posting every day and see if your views go up. I do more stories than posts and have seen engagement go up slighly.
I tried it for a few months in spring, only people who like my posts are my family and my moms friends… also only 300 people see my stories I don’t know why, so I gave up and stopped using instagram for a while. I am so tired of instagram and the fact that I need it to promote my business :(
No need to ditch it. Use it as a playground to see what works. People take these things too seriously. Just post twice a week on the same days. That’s it. That’s the trick. Dint expect results immediately.
It would be my suggestion to keep the account and post twice a day and have some fun with it where you can get people involved like prizes, give aways etc… Its also will look like you have been in business for a while and not a new business
Change up the flow …if the videos have the same feel then its basically need a fresh coat of paint
