I’m letting go of an employee this week, and it’s making me feel terrible. I’m wracked with guilty and full of empathy.

I’m still letting them go, but any advise on how to not feel so emotionally guilty for firing someone?

I read a quote once that there are many sad decisions in business that aren’t bad decisions. It comes with the territory.

If you have an HR professional or attorney you can talk to they’ll tell you how to do in ways that minimize blowback - not necessarily emotional.
