Everyone I’ve been speaking with in my local area says very slow. We dropped about 10% toward the end of August. How about you? What has changed? What do you expect in the coming months?

We also hit a year at the end of August. Are sales are still much higher than they were this time last year. However, we pretty much grew for 8 months straight so I’m not sure how much insight last years numbers can give.

It’s our slow season. But the economy also is slower. We are less busy this slow season compared to last.

Also we made a questionable hire.

Of all the things that are hurting me, the questionable hire makes up 80%. Planning to deal with that after Christmas. Ironically we planned to deal with it before but out of nowhere the person specifically requested not to be let go during the holidays - I guess they know they aren’t a good fit and saw it coming.

So we are basically running a charity atm… hard to turn solid profits like that.

If they’ve requested to not be let go during the holidays, why not use that to your advantage? I’d be telling then the expectations and what you need out of them in order to keep that promise. Because you’re not a charity I take it?

We are growing at a record pace. Every month has been 140%+ over last year’s record pace. Earlier this year we charted monthly sales and prospects to 2017 and there is nothing like it.

I work for a small eComm business that sells homewares. Business was bad in the beginning of 2023. From March to August we were on a tear and things were looking like they were going to improve. But the last two months have been brutal. Sales are down 50% and November is shaping up to be our worst in four years.

Residential contractor. It’s our slow season, and I’d say we’re neck and neck with last years slow season, this summer was great and we are booked for next summer.

Definitely noticing homeowners aren’t splurging for the highest grade material or complicated labor and cutting here or there to save a couple thousand $$$$ but still having the job done and keeping me and my guys busy I can’t complain.

Business is great. I’m on year three and it keeps getting better. The last month I made my biggest sale yet.
