Hi guys, first a quick backline story;

My uncle has been doing this job for over 30 years but not locationary stable. He’s collected many hundreds of carpets around the world and has a store in Berlin but customers barely notice his store and buys the products. He always told me that if he could be in Miami or somewhere similar, he would’ve made millions until now.

He’s paying for a webstore yearly bunch of money and the quality is sh*t and sells almost nothing in that website too. He’s married a german woman which is not helping at all but mentally destroying him while insisting him to keep the store cuz it’s made by her cousins and applying tons of weights on his shoulders.

I really want to help him to ease him down after tens of years of hardwork (he’s 70ish and still carries heavy carpets all day long) and free him from the wrath of her wife. So the keypoints are;

  1. there are hundreds of carpets, waiting in the rooms, all in exceptional quality and handpicked.
  2. my uncle is an extremely captivating guy, if you ever happen to enter his store, there’s a high chance you’ll buying it.
  3. there’s his personal website and another one where people put their wide variety of products to sell but he barely sells in those platforms.
    1. his personal one / the other one

what should I do?

    Sounds like you need to move to Miami. Find a crumby storefront or even a storage unit. Get your uncle loading shipping containers in Berlin with product and get it shipped to Miami. Start your social media and Craigslist blitz (heh) and sell the stuff in Miami. You guys could make a pretty good ongoing business if he can still get more stuff cheap.

      I bought all the furniture in my house from some guys selling out of a storage building. Didn’t know it’d be a storage building when we looked up the company online but it was lol. I live in a college town so I assume they collect all this furniture on move outs and then sell it pretty cheap (they even delivered). Was a great experience. So operating out of a storage unit is a good idea
