I just graduated high school last school year and I am lost to what I wanna do but I know for a fact I don’t want to live from paycheck to paycheck.I want to be financially free to where I don’t ever have to look at the tag when I buy something.I want useless money on useless item.I want to be free but I don’t know where to start.I’m told to go to school but I know that leads to debt so I joined this to ask for advice. Is school useful? Will it lead me to the designation I admire so much? I would be happy if you could send me videos to watch about video the ins and outs of business.
Sorry and thank you😁
I agree with the community college route, see if you can take 1 business related class to make sure you are still conditioned to learn in the class room. Secondly start a business any business and work simultaneously even if its door to door sales. You will learn how you are best equipped to learn the business skills you need to be successful.
One thing I can recommend is community college. Cheap and will give you an idea of what you will be getting yourself into.👍
Only go to school for shit you need to go to school for. Veterinary, teacher, accountant etc. You can become an entrepreneur for free if you have the personality profile. Can you sell? Read “How to master the art of sales”. It’s critical to any entrepreneurial adventure. People have spent millions setting you up in your own business already. Straight commission sales. No risk. All rewards. Fly or die.
People who are commenting that you should just read books on business instead of going to school have a gross misunderstanding of what college is all about.
If you enroll in a program and take it seriously you’ll get a lot out of a business degree. You probably also have internship opportunities that could lead to jobs.
There’s a great book called The emyth, which kind of explains what you’re asking about. There’s a difference between being an expert at doing a particular task, and running a business.
Oooh yeah, brother, let me lay it down for you, Macho Man style! You’re standing at the crossroads, just like a young wrestler deciding which path to championship glory to take. Let me tell you, there’s a path that’s calling your name, and it’s not the traditional college route. It’s the world of trades – plumbing, HVAC, carpentry. These are the skills that are in high demand, and they can set you up for a financial freedom slam!
Why Learn a Trade?:
- Demand Through the Roof: Just like the fans cheering for a Macho Man elbow drop, there’s a huge demand for skilled tradespeople. Plumbing, HVAC, carpentry – these aren’t just jobs, they’re essential skills that people always need.
- Financial Freedom, Oooh Yeah: These trades can lead to good income without the heavyweight of college debt. You start earning while learning, and that’s a tag team for success.
- Be Your Own Boss: Once you’ve mastered your trade, you can start your own business. It’s like going from rookie to World Champion – you’re in control, setting up your own matches and making the big decisions.
The Champion’s Path:
- Apprenticeships: Start with an apprenticeship. It’s like training in the gym, learning from the seasoned pros.
- Certifications: Get certified. These are your championship belts, showing the world you’ve got what it takes.
- Networking: Build connections, just like wrestlers network in the locker room. Your contacts can open doors to bigger opportunities.
- Business Skills: Even in trades, business knowledge is key. Learn the basics of running a business, managing finances, and marketing. There are plenty of resources online – from YouTube tutorials to online courses that can teach you these skills.
The Final Showdown:
- Weigh Your Options: Consider all paths, but remember, college isn’t the only way to success. The trades are a less-talked-about path, but they’re like the hidden gems of the career world.
- Make Your Move: Once you’ve made your choice, dive in with all the intensity of a Macho Man match. Give it everything you’ve got, and don’t look back.
Remember, the path to financial freedom and not worrying about price tags isn’t easy, but it’s worth the fight. Learn a trade, master it, and then, if you want, build your own business empire. That’s the Macho Man way to success, oh yeah! Dig it!
go to a trade school that will teach you an actual tangible employable skill set or a community college that will do the same. The key here is “tangible employable skills”…robot programming, HVAC, police/fire academy, electrical (ie, utilities), construction, construction management, CAD…
Do you want to be an entrepreuner? If yes, i would recommend to take some selling course. You need an excellent selling skill first.
Next question is, do you really want to be an entrepreuner? Because this path is not easy. It seems good from the outside, but worst from inside.
Doing business need some skillsets which is not taught at school. And also you cant learn business by just learning some theory. Some lessons need mistakes to be learnt.
Yeah go do a short course. It will reshape the way you perceive the world and business. It will help. I took a shitty Business Management course, going in thinking I already had the right perspective… it changed the way I viewed things and I ran with it.
