I own a hair salon. Typically, November is my busiest season. It has been SO quiet. A lot of my colleagues are also saying the same thing and have had to close up shop because of it - or get a second job.

People keep saying it will get better and the economy will bounce back but I don’t know. I am so close from just throwing in the towel, closing up shop and getting a corporate gig.

This is what happens when there hasn’t been a decent rise in wages in decades and the 1% pay little or no taxes. We have a broken education and employment system that both “requires” a degree and also shackles you to debt at the same time.

Inflation isn’t mandatory. Corporations have had their best year on record, and yet, they raise prices and blame the boogeyman: “The gubmint!” It’s simply corporate greed.
