I’m bouncing ideas for a clothing business (USA). Below are some points that I need help with:

  • Steps to secure business name if its avail
  • How to properly check if website/domain url is avail
  • What social media apps should I also check for name availablity: FB/IG/TikTok/Twitter (X)?

Also educate me on anything I’m not thinking about when thinking of a clothing business name.

    For your domain go daddy is fine.

    Do you research. When we started we didn’t do enough and operated under name for years. A few years later, once we had traction and a real business, a large US company (we are not US based) in a completely different industry threatened to sue us into the under verse, and we had to pivot and change names. not a fun task

    I usually start by searching for domains, to me that’s the most important thing!
    But I recently got an issue with a competitor threatening to sue me because the name was too close from him but it was a huge coincidence haha
