I’ve created a small website to help people disconnect from screens. No visitors so far, wondering if anyone would actually need the features it offers. Any feedback is welcomed. You can find it here: Byescreen.com

Product development needs to be approached with an audience in mind and continuous iteration through testing from that audience.

Talk to people who want to take breaks from their screens. See if you can find a group of people who are similar and like the direction of your solution. Then iterate to see if you can get them to use this long-term.

Some ideas I have for you:

    • Allow user-contributed break suggestions
    • Tailor suggestions to a certain audience (age, region, relationship status, income, etc.)
    • Explore distribution methods (SEO, browser plugin, app)
    • Add some kind of retention tracking

Someone one told me. Its urdu, “bananay se pehle bechna sekho”. Learn to sell before you make.

Alot of people can make the stuff you make, hardly 1% will know how to sell it. Selling is legit an art. Once you learn how to sell, you’ll make a fortune.

No, you app is not uselss. At any given time there at 1 million people who will find your idea worth paying for. You just have to find the first 10. Then rest you can find through analysing the first 10.

Pretty much… At least for now. Hoping to add more features in the future, all of them in the area of helping people break free from devices when they want to.

You could verify people’s needs by Google, every keywords people input to Google was represent their needs, you could thought what are keywords people would input to Google if they have such needs, then check the search volumes and trends of the keywords. My app GoTrends can show the trends and search volume in the last 48 months, I think that might helpful.

Thank you for the valuable feedback!

Cookie banner - gdpr regulations. Read it’s advisable to have one even if you don’t have cookies. Considering that info, I decided to run Google analytics on it if I need a cookie banner anyway.

Thanks for the tips regarding capacitor.js. I’m not a dev and am making this with the help of chatgpt, any technical tips are more than welcomed.

I will generate more content. Currently working on the other feedback from the thread and will also put this on my list.

    Does it help you?

What have users said when you interview them?

How are you connecting with potential users?

It is fun idea. I would suggest putting your social media icons on the top left or top right of the screen. Increase the size of the text and reduce the size of the button a bit. I also think you need a better color palette and also there is no feedback on the clicking of the button. Basically your idea is pretty fun but you need to re-think the UI/UX a bit.
