Just curious since it seems everyone is mentioning AI in some form in majority of what I see posted here (maybe just the Reddit “algorithm” at work?). It’s almost like not doing AI is enough of a differentiator at this point to stand out in the market. Is there some crossover between Reddit and AI specifically, or is it a bigger trend that everyone is hopping on the AI bandwagon? Feels like “ai” is a rebrand of “machine learning”/“ml” buzzwords from recent past - a lot of fudging the edges of the actual definition, in what I think is an attempt to seem attractive in the funding market. Is anyone concerned about that backfiring?

Just do the thing. There are so many posts in this thread looking for advice based on what others are doing. Be bold. Be brave. Do the thing.

I’m not running an ai startup. I’m not looking for advice either, just opinions and discussion. Thank you for sharing yours!!! I agree, there’s a lot of posts seemingly seeking external validation or some sort of permission. But that seems to just be Reddit in general lately.

I’m working on a multiplayer system for game developers. We use AI internally as tool for various things, but the bulk of it is done by us. What we’re making is for people, and I believe to make something for people you need to be a person. AI’s not there… yet.

Working on a stock market scanner tool that runs users custom stock screeners passively and automatically! No ai, just raw math and high performance compute power!
We may integrate ai in the future, but we don’t see a need for it yet. Can check it out: prosperse.com

Me - well I was - but now I’m pivoting to include AI in the project because I feel in five years time anyone who is thinking about how to utilize AI in their business structure will be beat out by the competition

To be totally honest with you I have no idea which audience I want to serve and build a product for so I quickly came up with an idea that uses AI to help SaaS founders learn more about their SaaS but it is nothing more then a simple OpenAI wrapper. What I am trying to say is that many people simply came up with random idea such as myself and are simply testing the AI waters but soon enough most of us will fail because those ideas are not solving any problems. Its just cool and trendy thing to do.
