Hi everyone! Just shooting my shot here!

As a commercial cleaning business owner I’ve come to learn that when I go canvassing at different businesses (dental offices, medical centres, restaurants, gyms) it’s about selling myself as an individual not only my business. Owners tend to gravitate towards confidence, smiles, and the ability to relate to them and that’s what I try and present when I manage to speak with them. I always let them know that I’m not the kind of owner that just sends people to do the job, I myself get involved and do the cleaning too to set the standard high for my employees. I let them know that I’m all about communication and even offer a first time cleaning discount. I leave them with my business card and flyers and let them know that I’m only a phone call away.

As a business owner, if someone like me were to walk into your business, how receptive would you be? What are things you look for in a sales pitch? What can I do to convince you to go with me and not the competition?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I thank you so much for your time!

One bit of advice, use the word “thorough” repeatedly over and over again in marketing as well as in person elevator pitches. Don’t ask me why but it’s the magic word when it comes to commercial cleaning.
