We have a street near downtown with active restaurant and pub scene. But it has tough competition. I have seen old establishments and some good restaurants go out of business if they slack. Crowds are typically office goers, football game parties or Friday night lets get trashed folks.
So… in one of these shops they open a flower/pub? Basically you can buy over priced flowers for your dates here and over priced wine and draft beers. It felt so pretentious and dumb. The interiors were very fancy. I would always see the same 5 people hanging out through the windows. The rent must have been pretty high since most of the small business in town would like to try their hand on that street. I felt that they were not going to make it when I saw them open.
Last month I saw that the place is empty and up for lease.
