1 year agoI would say that renting a space, especially in college, might be a little risky. Especially considering how new your business is. Maybe try social media marketing first! Might get more on-campus sales and expand your market off-campus. Once you’re consistently making sales and can afford to rent a space with just your income from the business, then you can expand that way.
In terms of naming, I would stay away from “Frito”, just for marketing reasons. You could try playing with the spelling. “Freto”, “FreeTo”, etc etc. Maybe something related to your name or a nickname? Common sandwich ingredients?
This is like. A childhood DREAM of mine. Not the bar part, but the drink establishment part.
But I think that is a really cool idea. There would be a lot of cost things to consider, especially because Amazon has a monopoly on the book market right now. If you didn’t know, they sell books at a net loss so that traditional bookstores go out of business quicker. So buying and replacing books – especially hardcovers – can get REAL expensive REAL quick.
If you can figure all that stuff out and be able to make a profit, that would be a super cool idea!
