Times change and business operations need to change to continue being relevant. This seems to be a problem with every shift in generation; being able to let go. Put it on paper, and make sure he knows he’s in his father’s shoes now. Time to pass the ball for the same reasons he took over years ago.
I inherited employees and eventually they all were fired or quit. Turning a business profitable required work they weren’t willing to or used to doing. It’s a nearly impossible task. I’ll never do it again. Now, I have one philosophy where employees are concerned. If they don’t want to be here, then I don’t want them here. Shitty work culture will put you out of business. Hire and keep those who appreciate you and your business.
