A 40+ year entrepreneur myself and you nailed it. Best part you recognized it. Being complacent can only lead to a few things. One being you’re done with it and while they’re is still value sell it. Two go out of business or three fix it. But one huge lesson you can learn from this is don’t become complacent thinking you’ve earned the right to take your foot off the gas you never earned that right now and it’s never given to you.

Writing a sad story repels way more than it attracts. Excitement should be a priority not failing.
