  • I also own a vintage store going on 2 and a half years.

If you are the first in your community be prepared for the flood gates of people who are gonna mimic what you do. When we opened there we’re maybe a hand full of resellers now there’s almost 20 in my very small city.

Don’t get caught up in trying to do sneakers. It’s a very expensive venture. We tried to do buy sell trade on sneakers and everyone wants the most for the worst worn shoes. We eventually switched to co-signing with a sneaker reseller. He stocks our shelves and sets prices. We just keep track and take 20%.

Find a way to source cheap. Look for vintage wholesalers in your area you can travel to and hand pick what fits the style of your shop. Don’t buy curated boxes, most are full of shit.
