Can you be more detailed about what the feedback about the design is? Poor Function, ugly form, bad ergonomics, poor material choice? How important is it to their purchasing decision? That is if your product delivers more value by solving a problem for them maybe the aesthetics don’t matter so much particularly if the product isn’t customer facing (again you’ve not said too much about the product and what it does so just spitballing here).
The more feedback you have the more you will be able to work within the constraints of production and deliver something at cost and is desirable.
