Too many competitors opened all at once in the past 2 years. During covid, almost everyone became a grocery store in my area. Then, the amount of restaurants almost doubled in my area. Recently, big grocery stores are selling some of my niche items lower than I get them from competitors. And now, I feel that people are buying less because they simply can’t afford to spend too much.

I think if we wouldn’t have made all those changes, our sales would certainly be lower. After all these changes, clients are happier and visiting more but I get this feeling that if it wasn’t for Covid and inflation, we’d be hitting it out of the park. I could be wrong.

This is so vague. I was really interested in reading this because I mostly agree. But you didn’t provide any examples or talk about the actual efforts usually required to get income from a business.

If I was to wager, I’d say this is partly written by AI. Vague statements with little substance.

So I’ll add my two cents to this. Passive income is possible but it still requires some type of effort. I used to have a web application that would return me thousands of dollars a month. It required very little maintenance. Aside from the initial effort which was probably a Year’s worth of development work. I basically only touched the app maybe once a year for maintenance.

Also, if you’re wealthy and open your own brick and mortar stores and hire others to run it for you, it’s also possible there as well.

So yeah, in my opinion passive income as possible but it is a rare thing.
