PH can get you some eyes very easily. There are some tricks to it though. And, unfortunately the users are not ideal. They’re people interested in apps, so a lot of pro developers and such. This means that they can be tough to retain. But hotels could def work there.
I have a chrome extension that Helps you see recipes on blog pages without scrolling forever. It did alright on PH, but nobody there really cares about cooking.
I actually was using the extension to promote the site and app connected to it, originally. I tend to see extensions as more of a promotion in themselves. The chrome web store is worse than the app store, just kinda silly and poorly organized.
Otherwise, in my experience, you kinda have to either advertise or build topical communities. Or find a hack, but it’s never sustainable.
