It’s cheaper than you think. Filing the trademark was actually cheap. Our lawyer was a ‘cheap’ one. It was our old professor who told our cheap lawyer what to include in the contract. A very basic NDA was edited heavily by him.

The biggest thing here was having a mentor who worked in a field where parents were important and had 60 himself. The professors aren’t ‘rich’ and neither are post docs but the only value it gives you is the knowledge and weight of protecting yourself when it comes to your business or tbh research and work.
