I do. I edited my post earlier. I raised my prices to $8 which matches 2/3 of my competitors. And I’m going to be handing out business cards to bars, liquors stores hotels, etc like candy.

That’s actually how my business cards I just ordered 2 hours ago look like 😂😂. I think they look nice.
Unfortunately my town dosent use Uber like at all. I’ve tried.
How would I pay the bartenders? Also $50 in my town is way too high. Even my competitors with a brand new gmc Yukon denial that has more bells and whistles don’t charge that high.
So you think $10 is fair too?
Real taxi. Inspected by PD. Whole nine yards.
Also holy crap. $25??? Uber charges $5 round trip to go 1.5 miles down the road to the grocery store. My town is small so charging by mile just dosent exist in this town. None of my competitors charge by mile.
Charge more. Lower the risk of “damages”. Is that what you’re saying?
But $10 you would feel more comfortable with? One way anywhere in town? Think small town?
I have really thought about that too. I knew offering $5 a ride would seem scammy. Especially with Facebook being my main advertising platform.
I’ve had my prices at $8, $2 cheaper than my most expensive competitor (the one with nice vehicles). And still didn’t receive any calls. But you and the person above you have me really thinking about going back to that price and only offering $5 rides as special promos (holidays, LEO, Veteran, Fire etc discount). My other worry is my town is kinda broke. The only thing my top competitor has that I don’t is delivering out of town.
I wish you were too. But sadly that may be what they think. At that point the only thing I have is waiting for the snowball effect. One customer rides and says they loved it and they tell others and the future will speak for itself. But honestly I think it’s down to pricing. But if customers want to believe I’m that person without getting to know me and think that because I drive an electric vehicle I’m what you said. Then I don’t think they are my type of customer. And that’s ok.
