  • I think the public figures you mentioned may not be the best example now because they already built their companies and are just riding out their success now.

Like Mark Cuban had his biggest success when? Like 20 or even 30 years ago when he sold his streaming site to Yahoo in the new market before it crashed? He may have a lot of success now too but thats partly because he can just throw money at everything.

It does not mean they acted like they act now when they were building the companies.

Often on Youtube you can find old interviews/podcats with founders before they were successful, I find this much more useful and exciting. Oddly they often just have a couple of 100 views.

I did not even find a lot of successful people can actually explain their success well.

I would actually say it is often luck. Of course luck can be earnt. But once you are successful you will come up with explanations for your success later. It was never guaranteed however, so any explanations are usually bias.

From my observations which can be some kind of bias too, the success usually comes not from wanting to build up a huge company but from becoming the person that runs such a big company and acts like it, enjoys it, and frm offering better services, better products, riding trends, and marketing your products well and constantly. From your daily actions and habits. From finding something that works, that the market needs and repeating this process.

Like see Apple, they simply make products a huge part of the population want or even want every year. Thats not even rocket science. What product/service can you offer that thousands, ten thousands or even millions badly want in their lives, and how do you market it to them? This pretty much is the path to success, right?
