The person is just threatening you… they won’t sue… not worth their time. And to be honest if I was on a jury and heard “we filed a claim and was following UPS’s policies with the investigation and they sued before that was complete” not only would I think that is incredibly shady but would likely rule against them and award you legal fees and damages.

It is a ridiculous stance and no judge or jury will reward that behavior

I second this… I was about $750k and by the time all deductions and depreciation was about $40k in taxes… still not chump change but percentage wise not bad at all.

You have to maximize your deductions that is literally the only legal tax strategy you can use and it is very very highly effective
