It depends on what is the business. If you have experience in marketing for example and the nature of the business requires those skills, you partner up with others that bring the other skillsets needed to build the business.

I believe the business model is wrong. The way is currently set up is not and won’t bring you revenue, not only for maintenance but to grow it to a bonafide business. If you have no direct competition or your search filters are unique compared to other websites that are similar, you can partner up with someone who can market it to, perhaps, a streamer or a platform that already has a good monetization strategy. Unless you’re going to use mutual funds and/or she already works in business, there is no need for you to share business ideas with her. When you’re developing something, the opinions that have more weight, come from people who have already done business or are in the field of the business you want to operate from. You won’t always get a yes to everything and there is value in people showing you flaws in the plan or tactic but it has to come from an educated point of view and not speculation. What you need from your wife is to be emotionally supportive, not to be your business analyst.
