I have a small handyman business and want to write off as much as possible from this past year to save on taxes.

I’m new, and don’t have really anyone to ask about this stuff. All I know if my tax bill might be high and I want to lower that by all means.

I have some expenses that I didn’t keep receipts but paid on my personal CC. I also pay my dad $200 a month rent to park my truck and trailer in cash but wanted to see if I can write that off in any way.

I also wanted to see any other options.

Sounds great! Yes I may end up contacting a consultant. The business is not huge so I was debating TurboTax as that’s what I’ve done for my personal taxes the past 3-4 years. The side gig is only about 20k maybe $10-12 after materials and expenses
