Hi guys, I have been a software developer for 6years now with little or no experience in confounding a business.

I recently became a co-founder in a new start-up that’s still in its ideation stage and about to go into development. We just recruited a UI/UX designer(my business partner is going to pay the salary from his pocket) as I’m not financially buoyant to pay/contribute financially.

I believe we would get to a stage were I will have to quit my full-time job(Android Developer) to fully commit to developing this startup(product).

These are my questions:

Do co-founder(s) get paid ? If yes, at what point should I bring this up to my business partner ? Should this be on or before I quit my full-time job ? At what level should the startup get to before I start making these moves above ?

Thank you for your responses 🙏

I’d also suggest to set the terms right with your partner and some milestones, at what point do what.

How did you find the start up partners, btw?
