Hello everyone !
My brother and I have been developing the “Nutrition AI” app and would love some feedback so we can improve it!
We are both software developers and have been working on this in our free time, as we wanted a cheaper alternative to get nutritional advice.
How it works:
You describe your goal (lose fat, explore cuisines, lower my sugar level etc) and you get personalized:
- Multiple daily meals & recipes
- Detailed ingredients & nutritional facts
- Personalized advice for the plan
- Weekly grocery shopping list
to help you achieve your goal and stay on track.
Your plan & details can be viewed anytime in the app (or website) in organized screens.
The app uses multiple ChatGPT-4 agents behind the scenes. So a complete nutrition plan costs 3 euros. You can also change any of your personal details and re-generate the whole plan 3 more times for free. We also provide a few completely free plans as examples. You can find those in the main menu.
All plans are provided for educational purposes.

What could possibly go wrong lol
My IMMEDIATE concern is a legal and ethical one.
A certified dietician undergoes many years of study to develop diet plans specific to individuals. This involves taking into account not only goals, but body weight, BF%, pre-existing conditions, family history, etc.
ChatGPT is not a certified dietician and your app does not provide expert advice. I would be very careful with an application that auto-suggests diet plans for someone. If it suggests a diet plan for someone which causes health issues or worse, death, that’s on you and your brother.
I’m a qualified personal trainer; if I client asked for a diet plan I would state the following:
- the plan is just a guide
- if a medical doctor or dietician gives you contrary advice to mine, listen to the health professional
- report any adverse health issues you have immediately to me or a health professional, even if it’s potentially not related to diet
Obviously I’m just a dude on the internet, but people’s health isn’t something to be messed around with. Could you go to sleep knowing you’ve seriously hurt/killed some of your users?
