New to a 1099 side hustle. I have a question regarding mileage and billing. My current contract requires me to travel to larger cities up to three hours from my starting point using my own vehicle and I don’t get paid mileage per se. However I get paid a small trip fee from the nearest metro area to the job site which are usually in or near those metros. This fee barely covers the tank of gas. However on these trips I sometimes service multiple separate accounts. Do you think it is ok to bill each account a trip fee even if they are serviced on the same trip at the same location or on the same route (ie “along the way”)
