What would make more sense to use if you wanted to start an online store for your product? For instance, let’s say you already owned the domain wrappingpaper.com, would it make sense putting your wrapping paper products on there, or would it make more sense coming up with a brand name and putting your products on that domain?

Basically, is the only benefit of having a general domain name the SEO advantage? And does that even bring much traffic these days now that advertising probably drives most of the traffic anyway? Plus, if you ever wanted to branch out to retail or wholesale, wouldn’t a brand name be beneficial?
