I want to record myself doing certain tasks that involve physically moving around, using tools or equipment, that shows how I want things to be done, etc.

I follow Tommy Mellow, and he did this for his assistants and I think it will save me a lot of time, something that is very valuable for me.

This will not be a product that will be seen by anyone other than my personal assistant. They are for reference purposes.

For example, my Executive Assistant will clear my office (and desk) up daily. I want to record myself doing that task so I can show how I want things placed. Simple thing, but a lot of works and difficult to explain in just words. So a video (or at least photos accompanying a lot of words) would work best for me.

My problem is, how do I record it? I will use my phone or ipad, but should I talk as I am doing things? This may get a bit long and boring. It will be awkward if I hold the phone or tablet, so maybe put it on a stand and have it set in a position that say captures my whole office as I clean up the office and explain where I want certain things?

If the recording works for simple, basic things like this, I may use it for our larger operational SOP’s as well.
