Hey everyone,

Got a bit of a puzzle on our hands and we’re hoping you can share your thoughts. We have some blogging solutions for brands/startups and we are thinking about becoming a single product, and we need some input

Product 1 - Blog post site builder: It makes it dead simple to create a blog site using Obsidian or Notion as your CMS. It’s all about getting your cool ideas out there and making them easy to find with all the SEO optimizations and best practices. You just write your content, we serve it with all the fancy features under your own domain.

Product 2- AI-powered content generator: It uses AI to help you write long-form blogs and whip up awesome images. You can even save your own writing style, tone, language, and product promo injection to your blog content for later use.

If they team up, it means you can write, create stuff, and publish it all in one go. No more copying and pasting! Given most small businesses/brands just need a blog and AI help for blog content generation to boost their SEO, merging the two would give them a clear advantage

Why team up? We figure it could make our tools even better for startup/brand owners. Getting noticed is a big deal, and teaming up might give things a boost. But, before we decide, we want to hear from you.

Startup Owners: What do you think – should our tools join forces or keep doing their own thing but work together? Your thoughts will help us figure out what to do next.

Please share your take on them teaming up or any other ideas you’ve got. We’re all ears as we try to figure out the next move.

Depends, a single focused team can usually achieve much higher things than two team both trying to achieve success on their own.

Partnerships, Large deals, Marketing, CRO, SEO, Content, Branding, Buzz are example of topics where success is obtained through mostly trial and errors + luck and compounds overtime.

Product, Sales process, Customer journey also compounds, doubling your efforts start paying up quite fast.

The compounding effect might the sole reason why merging two team in the very long run might be the ideal solution.

appreciate the comment! AI content generator aligns mostly with SaaS/Brand owners, but our blog builder/hosting service is also used by individuals who will never use AI to generate content. Seems like doubling the surface is the way to go!

Offer them both as separate products/solutions.

Cross sell the other one/integrations as enhancements.

Focus on one or the other for short/medium term development.

after these comments, we realized merging wasn’t the best idea after all. Integrating and cross-selling will bring the same benefits as merging but without the risks or disadvantages of merging. Thanks for the comment!
