im not hiring anyone from Reddit, so please don’t respond if you’re going to self-advertise

I’m terrible at writing and hate social media. I think my business would benefit from being online more but I don’t have the time or patience.

I’ve heard mixed to bad reviews about upwork and fiverr, so I’m not sure I want to use that. I want decent work. I don’t want to set aside money and have it wasted.

Where can I find someone good that’ll write a blog and get my social media going? Probably do some website stuff too? If you’ve found someone, where did you look?

    As a copywriter, I know where the writers hang out: LinkedIn and various business-focused groups on Facebook. Post a job ad on both platforms to see how many bites you get.

    My experience hiring writers on Fiverr and Upwork was pretty bad. I don’t like writing, but everyone I tried to work with charged a lot and gave me very basic stuff that I could’ve written myself. I had better luck connecting with local freelancers through LinkedIn or their own websites.

    No matter where you find someone, expect to have to try a few before you find someone whose style is a good fit for you and who produces good results consistently.

    There are tons of freelance writers out there. I still see an active community on twitter. That is where I found a couple people that have done work for me before.
