Hello everyone,

We’re developping a traceability solution based on blockchain for a very old sector in France. We have very good references and will work with venerable institutions.

We are currently checking what is the best PSP for our solution, but it’s tougher than expected.

(We are not into crypto…)

I saw Stripe and Adyen, used the last in my previous job and wanted to take this solution.

  • Adyen said we need to make 3M€/month before talking to them…
  • Stripe requested all our business model + technical flows + 1 month to verify that and 1 month to implement Stripe Connect

We thought it will be easy to find a PSP, just creating an account and that’s it…

For people who are currently working with them (or another PSP) is it something usual or are they really picky because we are into blockchain and could be assimilited to crypto sh*t ?

I’m asking myself if it will not be easier just to create an account and not talking to any sale person.

Thanks all :)

So it’s likely your business category being high risk.
I worked as a designer for a very long time and assisted the team with web design at times. I’d personally signed up ~50 clients with stripe and only 2 had required additional verification at the start.
One very successful business had a temporary 2 week hold on their account during review due to ‘excessively high volume’ (£15k in 2 weeks) but was reviewed and hold removed within a week once supplied with details from their social media, materials invoices and photos of their workshop.

My team serviced around 15-20 other accounts and there wasn’t any reports of processing issues for those over the few years they were running, so wouldn’t have even been audited/verification requested.
