I am starting a housekeeping staffing agency in a major US city. I am doing these things in small steps and staring from the free stuff before investing. I registered the LLC, made a website, and now I’m thinking of starting to hire staff. However, I think my biggest challenge will be getting clients. How can I do this? Would advertising on Yelp be a smart idea for a new company? What are some alternatives? Also, should I get business insurance right away? I will be hiring staff to clean other people’s houses as I don’t want to do the cleanings myself.

For online marketing, I would use Google Ads. Because this type of business seems like something people look for when they need it. It won’t be an impulse buy.

    So, my strategy would be:

-start with a Google Ads campaign for people in your area, test different stuff to see what works -create a high-converting landing page that convinces people to book a call, or whatever the next step is -maybe even offer a discount on the first sale to make it easier for them to buy, and generate trust with that first visit

For physical marketing, I would create flyers and leave them in places where my potential customers are. Don’t think about residential customers. Think more about companies that could hire this service. If your landing page is good, you can use this flyer to the landing page to do the heavy lifting.

And lastly, networking with people in entrepreneur events and that kind of stuff. Let them know what you do, and maybe they’ll call you when they need your services.

Under absolutely no circumstances should you use Yelp.

Fuck Yelp. They’re predatory and use extortionist tactics. Google Yelp lawsuits
