Hey Everyone,

I recently launched my web design agency and decided to kick off with cold calling. I’ve reached out to about 100 businesses, particularly painters in Toronto with basic websites, offering a no upfront cost deal at $25 a month for hosting and maintenance for my first 20 clients. Unfortunately, I haven’t seen much traction. Any suggestions on what I might be doing wrong or if my offer needs tweaking? I only do static sites so basically no e-commerce would that be limiting myself?

I’ve seen more businesses needing help with their Google Business info first, website second. If you can figure out how to manage their Google business account I think you could start getting somewhere.

I would make sure your email is not Gmail or Outlook or Yahoo, it needs to be to your custom domain. I’ve had a lot of website and SEO offers from companies without custom email addresses or websites, probably most of them scams but you want to make sure you don’t look like one of them.
