Pretty much the title. How do you stand out to be remembered besides building good impression?
I have seen those metal business cards and they’re gorgeous. But I did some research and they’re slightly pricey without knowing if it actually has a better outcome than traditional, papers ones.
Depends. If you’re in a brick-and-mortar style business or a home services type business, absolutely get some business cards. Be sure and have your website or, better still, a QR code that takes them to your website without them having to type it out.
If you’re in tech, though, specifically anything to do with software or marketing? I’m finding that at most events I go to, everyone’s just scanning each others’ LinkedIn QR codes these days. And an instant connection request means you’re more likely to remember where you met that person, too.
I just received my business cards last week. Handed one to my server at dinner and asked her to pass it along to the owner next time she saw them.
Received a lead from the owner today. 😊 1/1 so far! Ordered a really nice quality card from Moo . Com
I hand out a pocket sized 24 page booklet. About a buck each in 3000 quantity.
People keep them.

Always useful, you can make people remember you better
It greatly depends on your industry I supposed.
I work in the arts space and we do use them.
You’re always out networking and meeting other industry people at arts events.
So, they’re great to have on hand so you can connect with people you meet.
For example, if I have a show, people may approach and want to book me for future shows. Arts events are usually busy, crowded and loud. There might be a lot going on and it’s not a a good time or place to sit and chat about arranging anything. So, I can hand them a business card for them to follow up later.
Works well for me!
Yes. People ask for mine all the time. A lot of people may not even keep them but if someone asks it’s always better to have one than explain why you don’t.
Even if the practicality is taken out of them, there is still a use as a business formality.
I like the dot cards that use NFC. I’m sure there are others but that’s the one I use. You literally get the card near their phone and (as long as NFC is turned on) all of our info opens up in a website asap. All they have to do is click save contact. But I will also add I always keep regular business cards as well. I find sometimes there’s a need for those still, especially if any of your client base or prospect list is a little “old school”.
