Would love any tips or advice. I have a small travel business for Group Trips. I specifically market to people over age 30 because I am 41 and know how many companies target the younger crowd. I am in a lot of Facebook travel groups which obviously have rules that need to be followed. No self promotion is one of them. I understand why it exists, though I find it frustrating because as a small business owner I see the larger companies (Intrepid, FlashPack, GAdventures) mentioned over and over again. Here’s an example:
OP: Hey girls! I wanted to see if anyone has a recommendation for a group trip for ladies over age 40? Anne: I love FlashPack! Julie: I have been on a ton of GAdventure tours and they are awesome! Me: I have a small group travel company that caters to the over 40 crowd! I IMMEDIATELY GET BANNED FROM THE GROUP FOREVER
It’s so easy to get swallowed up by the bigger companies that have multiple start dates throughout the year. Any ideas on how to organically reach people who are looking for exactly what I offer?

Promo posts ruin a lot of groups so they’re often pretty sensitive to it, though while you’re not allowed it’s the same for the bigger brands.
You could post in the groups providing useful info (to a point where it’s clear you’re in-the-know) in a general sense and always make sure your company page is listed on your profile to be found.
Do you know if there’s much real competition on SEO keyword phrases for the 40+ market for your trip type? What’s your website like? ChatGPT can help create a huge amount of decent content (though make sure its edited to be useful/quality over quantity) to help you rank organically in search engines against established brands that might not focus as much on the niche.
If you have any small budget at all it might be possible to find low cost paid clicks if you target FB ads properly to the right audience (only members of those groups you’d have liked to post in, at specific age, specific location of where your trips go from)
