I started a service-based business three years ago, and we just hit six figures in revenue (only about 10-20% is profit). I know exactly what I need to do to expand the business and grow in profitability; however, I hate this industry.

I struggle to find qualified candidates to offer the service. The clients are extremely demanding and high-maintenance. I hate offering the service myself due to the clients.

Has anyone else started a business they hate? I don’t want to just “give up” when the company could be successful, but I can’t stand this industry…

That’s my concern: I’ll leave this business and spend the next three years starting over on a new venture, only to run into a different set of (just as draining) problems…

If this feeling of dread is just part of owning a business, I’ll put up with it! However, I don’t want to waste my time on a company I not only dislike but also isn’t highly profitable if I could be doing something more fulfilling elsewhere.

Curious. Are u a woman? I can definitely understand your angst if you’re a man. A buyer would probably be a woman. At least u know you CAN run a business! GL.
