Hi everyone! I’ve just filed my first LLC & am planning to open a vintage boutique in my city- I’m completely new to owning a legitimate business of my own. I thought this would be a great question to ask as I know I’ll be making many mistakes in my first year of business.

    The hardest lesson for us was learning that partners can and will try to screw you over. Especially when it comes to invoicing. Read every contract you sign thoroughly, write out the basic terms for yourself and keep that list handy when looking over invoices you receive from partners, and never be afraid to fight back when you notice discrepancies.
