Backstory: I already own a few restaurants and am looking to open a liquor store in a nice area that doesn’t have one. The area is known for smaller boutique/locally owned shops. About 10k residents about 10-20 minutes away from the closest shop with a median income of $150k.
Vision: I know that this community would like a shop here, but I don’t want to run a traditional liquor store with 100,000 items. Has anyone seen a small liquor store work and what other items have you seen work well in the same business?
I would love any suggestions or experiences!
Different business model, but you might get some good ideas from reading Joe Coulombe’s book, “Becoming Trader Joe’s.”
