Can someone please advise me on what software and monthly expenses needed to run a one person painting business that’s just starting? I question if I need 30 bucks for QuickBooks every month. Although nothing better for keeping track of expenses it seems awkward for writing proposals. Payment would be cash or check so I don’t think I need Square however I might need it for a website? I don’t have that yet. Just asking what software has worked for service business owners thank you so much.

    Wanna give Percountant a try?

I made this bookkeeping app for sole proprietors and micro enterprises.

It’s free, theres no limitations to how many transactions u can enter, it doesn’t collect ur data, and all data live in ur device.

Feel free to ask me anything.

I use a spreadsheet for my expenses and give it to my accountant at the end of the year. Ask your accountant what you need to put in there so it’s easy for him to use it and should be good to go. Keep all your receipts too

Wave is free. It is very barebones, but if you’re looking to save on the $30, many people use it
