Hey there! I have developed something using facial recognition. I have made it work real-time, return classifications through an API and also made the models hot-reload. I am planning to use this for offering personalization based on the individual and his preferences. Although I have the basics ready for the prototype, I am busy 24/7 on working on something new for facial recognition, solving the known/unknown classification. I wanted to check with the reddit community and wanted to validate the idea (to check whether what I’m doing is just another scholar article or an actual service). Is this a feasible idea and something that some company would be willing to pay for this service? Here is my website for it: vision.automa.one and my API documentation consisting of the API usage and it’s use cases: vision.automa.one/api/documentation

I hope to make this a reality. I’m really excited about this. Thanks for going through this!

I worked for a company. They always build their own model to identify folks. Noone will use this as a service unless it is for an individual for some application.

Best would be to get this done and apply for a job ina startup. I can tell you that there are any other factors. Liveness being one of the most critical ones.

I suggest you provide the feature to a domain in one of the use case scenarios. Sure to get feedback. Please do DM if we discuss on the possibility
