As the title says, I am considering a business around origami. I make really cute little boxes out of paper, and origami flowers. I’m thinking something like personalised boxes of sweets, or little boxes with origami flowers inside, made to match the wedding’s or party’s theme colours. I can even make animals and other things to add a special touch if the customer wants it, like cats for a cat lover.

I’m just floating this to get an idea of how viable something like this would be. I’m considering getting a little thermal printer to print customized stickers and labels, so I can add names or other personal touches to the favours. I’d be grateful for any tips or suggestions to improve the general idea more. TIA!

Sounds like it could be a good side project but like the other person said, impossible to scale so don’t expect it to pay all the bills. Plus this seems like a really small market that would require a lot of time and effort marketing just to break even. But if you’d enjoy it in your spare time, why not?

I’m not doing it to pay the bills, I have a regular job too. This is more of a thing to monetise origami which I like to do.
