Is it because their business world is going Down, they arent relevant anymore, more power/more connection, there’s many reasons to why.
But dont know if thats right either? What do you think/know?
Many entrepreneurs are change makers. They see this they want to change and politics is one of the ways to do it.
Politics is to make policies.
There are policies for general public thus every person vote to elect a government who brings new or change in policies for their benefit and betterment.
Same goes for Business. There are policies that affect the businesses and thus they also chime in to secure their best interests.
Usually it’s for more reach, influence, power and possibly direct control instead of using someone else (friend, lobbying etc.). This should cover the majority of businessmen going to politics.
Of course there are those who enter the world of politics because of their strong conviction to change the world for better or worse, because each of us, whether we admit it or not, whether we do it actively or not, we want to imprint our will on the world around us.
