Like the title says, looking to start a new business. I am looking for ideas and thought I would ask the Internet what your business needs. What do you wish you had, need or want but can’t afford? One thing I read is people start businesses “selfishly” by doing “what they love” and not looking for a problem to solve. I have tried this in the past and it didn’t work out for me. I am sure it works but I rather try and find a problem I can solve. I appreciate your time and hopefully I can offer some value to your business in the near future. Thank you!
Of course, a steady stream of clients. Good paying clients. Everyone has a business plan, but do they have a marketing plan? I’d argue it’s just as important. It doesn’t have to be sophisticated, but you damn well better have a plan to market your business.
On another note, I’d say this: A good CPA who is business-oriented. NOT someone who just likes to do tax prep, you need a proactive CPA that you can talk with throughout the year to help you navigate financial matters that will come up. Don’t wait until you need one, start working on finding the right one now.
