I want to support local business but in the town I live in (southern maine) so many of them have the weirdest hours. Like open Monday to Thursday from 10 to 5. How is anyone supposed to go there? I feel like this is a newer thing?

    small business can’t afford to stay open all day. It’s too expensive to stay open all day and they aren’t making enough money to afford hiring staff. Only the corporate stores can afford that luxury. In fact I have seen some families even being their children while they work. It’s sad to see them barely surviving. They can’t complete against McDonald’s and burger king type restaurants
