I want to support local business but in the town I live in (southern maine) so many of them have the weirdest hours. Like open Monday to Thursday from 10 to 5. How is anyone supposed to go there? I feel like this is a newer thing?

That might be their sweet spot and the owners are happy with revenue as it is - being open for more hours doesn’t necessarily mean more profit. Obviously a business that is totally out of touch with its customers needs regarding shopping times won’t have longevity.
