So, I’m preparing to launch my small business as a consultant. However, I’m uncertain how to charge for my services. Right now, I’m charging $25 for a 30 minute consult and fee will be due on booking. However, what would I do if the client already paid $25 but the meeting goes over 30 minutes? I’d like to protect myself from those who wouldn’t pay, but I’m not sure how to charge for the extra time. For what it’s worth, I will be using Wix for transactions. Does anyone know if their transaction interface allows for extra charges after a service?

What field are you in? What’s the result you get for your clients? The price seems incredibly low.

Have you done any work on your business model and pricing? E.g. at this price point, how many clients do you need to hit your monthly revenue goal… and can you 1. handle that many clients and 2. handle the marketing and sales that goes hand-in-hand with getting those clients?
