Hey everyone,

I recently created a website for my overseas recruiting agency: www.helpfulhires.com.

I’m great at recruiting, but not so much web design.

One thing about my service is that it requires a lot of education upfront. A lot of small business owners don’t realize this is a solution for their business, compared to something like SEO or marketing, which is more straight forward.

Could you review the homepage and give me your first impressions on the overall copy? What questions do you have about the process, or what questions do you have as a business owner, who is viewing this for the first time. My goal is to create new FAQs addressing these questions or revamping my copy with this feedback in mind.

Thank you!

Nick

    Hi Nick!

I’m a copywriter who just started my own business. There are a few things I noticed just in the first peek I took at your website:

Your tagline- in big bold letters- is what your customers will see first and it’s not quite enough to entice someone to stay on the page to learn more. You want to write this not in terms of what you do, but in terms of how their business will benefit.

You might want to consider something like, “Hire international talent for 70% less WITHOUT compromising quality”. Businesses are less interested in what you do, and far more interested in the value they’ll receive.

Your home page overall focuses too much on the features of your offerings and not enough on how you can solve the woes of your target customer. Who is your target customer? Instead of “here’s what I do”, think “here’s what you’ll get”.

Some things to think about! It’s a really, really great start overall!
