I am too confused to start and ChatGPT does not help.

I need advice about the path I should take to be an entrepreneur. I made research, asked ChatGPT, searched all Reddit and I am now just confused. Can someone give opinions?

I believe that I am a creative person. Since my childhood I always created some basic stuff like Etsy shops to game servers. However, none of them lasted for long, and now I am hungry to find something that I will work for years and create something meaningful. The thing is I don’t know what to get into.

Find your passion, people say. Well this is where I stuck. I do not have any specific passion, I just love to make something that attracts people.

In addition, I do not have any in-depth skill. I am familiar with coding, 3D modeling, Adobe tools, digital marketing. Not an expert tho.

How can find an idea and develop it through years under those circumstances? Where to start?

    There are many aspects.

    1. You will only be able to sustain efforts for a few months to 2-3 years, when you’re genuinely interested in that thing - be it a problem being solved by some tech or a startup, be it some research, or some creation like writing a book.

    2. That leads us to, how do you find what you’re genuinely interested in? It is by trying a lot of different things. Even if they seem not so interesting at first, give yourself a week or two to try one thing at a time.

    3. So then how do you try different stuff? 3.1 Pick any random course online that sounds at least somewhat interesting or similar to what you already know 3.2 Go out and participate in some workshop, or events 3.3 Connect to friends or random people on LinkedIn - and meet them in person to have conversations. This will help with better clarity (far better than ChatGPT or internet) 3.4 Buy books on various topics and force yourself to finish them.

    4. By doing all this, you will definitely find something that’s at least 10-20% or more interesting.

    5. That’s when you double down! Go deeper and deeper, enjoy the intricacies of that area. Let your curiosity run wild for a few months in that field.

If the curiosity dies completely, start from 3 and repeat. Generally by 2nd or 3rd iteration, you will have gained a lot of deeper knowledge in two-three fields which will help you focus on your master piece or that problem you just have a sheer fire of solving. Good luck from there!!

Just like what “FireWire” said, it will take a lot of failed attempts. Most people who build something don’t have a definite skill, or something they do. They know how to talk to people, gain connections etc… the idea doesn’t haven’t to be “good” or life changing for it sell, it needs skills with interaction mostly and building a team. You hire a coding expert if you can’t, with investments. 90 percent of building a company from scratch is building a team, and knowing how to build a circle and connections. Ideas are everywhere. Just made one. An idea where everyone puts their top ideas for fun, the most upvoted goes to the top. You read through them, if you like one you pursue it. An app where you look at ideas in the business world. We all wonder how do we make money, you’ll have a whole app for it… that’s an example. You can put anything on an app these days, ideas never run out.

try engaging in different activities and courses to find what genuinely interests you. connect with people and attend workshops to gain clarity. it’s okay to fail and iterate multiple times. building a team and connections is essential for success. focus on the journey of finding what excites you.

Telling someone to pursue their ‘passion’ is an impossible task that puts upcoming entrepreneurs in paralysis through over analysis.

Find a problem that needs solved, and solve it with a product or service that has a large enough audience to economically sustain a business…then sell it and solve another problem.

To all those who have answered, thank you very much! I can not express how much it means to gather some friendly feedback after rumbling around for weeks, being confused. I look forward to applying your suggestions to my path.

You don’t need to be a millionaire.

You just need to figure out how to make $6k-$10k a month.

Physical goods/services is great but digital subscriptions is an easier path.

Apple just released ability to have recurring payments in wallet.

Ok so now you need customers and something digital to provide.

Substack might be a great way to start writing content, building a community of subscribers, and notifying them of new products/services you are offering.

People buy anything and everything and there is a big world so you just need to take the first step and the very next step after that and keep going.

It’s way harder than it sounds. You need to be realistic with yourself. A month or 2 in if you’re still going strong, you will have a good chance of making something. But since you’re at step zero, if you have nothing much to do, try something!
