Hi all,

We create bowties for dogs and have too many orders to keep up with demand, which has prompted us to go searching for a manufacturer, but we have no idea where to start.

We have about 20 designs in three different sizes that we currently print on fabric sheets ordered from a company in Canada and then we sew the bowties ourselves at our home. The fabric is poly-twill, which is important for us and each bowtie gets a velcro strap sewn on the back which is used to attach the tie to a dog’s collar.

We can no longer keep up with demand and need to find somebody that will manufacture the bowties for us, or at least do the majority of the job (such as everything but attaching the velcro).

We’re still starting out so are looking primarily at a place with low order volume, especially considering the number of designs and sizes we need (all seem to sell equally, so cutting down designs isn’t an option). We also would love to have a short turnaround for orders so don’t know if sourcing overseas is an option.

We have had little luck from searching since bowties aren’t very common. Does anybody have any recommendation as to where to start looking?

Growing your business to keep up with demand isn’t an option? When I scale up, I plan on setting up a sewing room and hiring a few folks to help out. I loathe having any outside place doing my production, I don’t trust they would do as well if I wasn’t local to QA everything l.
